We are the Bluegrass and Old-time acoustic music part of MCTAMA. Our members play and listen to folk music, blues, old time Appalachian, fiddle tunes, but mostly BLUEGRASS.
This group gives us all a chance to learn more about the music we love and to be exposed to new types of music - and especially new musicians. Come by and say hello at the jams on Tuesday evenings at Quinault Baptist Church in Kennewick, and the first Thursday Bluegrass Jam at First Christian Church in Pasco.
At Quinault Baptist Church in Kennewick at 5400 W Canal Dr which is right in front of the Court Club just one block west of Edison Street. The jams are from 7 - 9 PM on Tuesday evenings.
All musical genres are ok so long as it is with an acoustic instrument though mostly we do bluegrass, old time, and a bit of country. We usually get done no later than 9PM. This is a family oriented event.
At First Christian Church, 16th and West Marie in Pasco. The jam is from 7 - 9 PM every first Thursday evening. This Bluegrass music jam has any stringed acoustic instrument, plus harmonicas, accordians, and penny whistles.
Come join us! Although most of our members are are musicians, we have members who are Bluegrass music fans. We hope you enjoy what you hear, see and feel!
